Zoom Video Communications, or simply Zoom, is an American teleconferencing company based in San Jose, California. It offers its users a remote conferencing service that combines video conferencing, online dating, chat mobile communication.
You can sign up using your Google or Facebook credentials to create a Zoom account.
However, the most secure way to log in is to use a unique password that you create specifically for Zoom. All you have to do is enlarge your account.
But if you have already created an account and want to reset your password, you can do so.
Here’s how to reset Zoom Meeting password in two ways using either MAC or PC.
How to reset the Zoom meeting password on Phone
- Go to Zoom.us/forgot_password
- Enter your email. Email address:
- Click Send
- You get an email with a way to reset your password. Click the email link.
- Enter your new password.
- Enter a new password a second time to confirm.
- Click Save.
- Now that you have reset your password and you need to log in to the Zoom web portal. Click “Go to my meetings” to go to the web portal.
Note: You’ll also get the confirmation via email that your password has been changed.
How to change your Zoom password?
- Log in to the “Zoom” web portal.
- Click on the profile.
- Scroll down to enter a password, click “Change” on the right.
- Enter your old password.
- Enter your New Password, and enter it again to validate
Note: Make sure your password meets the requirements.
- Click Save Changes.
Note: If you do not have the ability to change your password on your profile page, you may have previously signed in only through Google or Facebook.
Where can I find a meeting password?
The meeting password for scheduled meetings will be in the invitation. For instant appointments, the password will be displayed in the Zoom Client or on the Zoom Rooms controller. The password is also included in the URL joining the meeting
How will this affect users who make phone calls?
To zoom in now, requires a password, the participants of which log in by phone to the account, group, and user settings. This setting will not change with the November 23 release. If this setting is enabled, users on the phone will need to enter a password if the meeting requires a password. If this setting is turned off, users can connect to the phone without having to enter a password.
How can I join the Zoom meeting?
There are 4 ways to join the Zoom meeting.
- Zoom app on your desktop
- Link via your email. By mail invitation
- Zoom in from the site
- Or by phone number
From the Zoom app:
- Open the app on your screen, start button, zoom folder, zoom in
- Click Enter
- In the menu on the right, select “Sign in with SSO”
- Enter your USQ username and password if required
- Click Join
- Enter Meeting ID (this is shown in the email invitation)
- You can then choose whether to attend the meeting with your audio or video on or off.
Email link.
- You will receive an email invitation from the host of the meeting
- Click the email link (connect via PC, Mac, iOS, or Android)
- You will be taken to a meeting
Zoom in from the site.
- Go to enlarge site (usq.zoom.us)
- Click the “Increase Account Login” (SSO) button
- If required, enter your USQ username and password
- Click the My Meetings tab
- Click on the Meeting link you want to join
Phone number:
- You will receive a letter from the meeting host
- It will display the number
Password requirements:
For security reasons, Zoom has several requirements that your password must meet. They are used to set your default password and reset your password.
Note that they only apply if you use your email address to zoom. If you sign in to Google, Facebook, or Single Sign-On, your password must match their requirements.
- Must have at least 8 characters
- Cannot be longer than 32 characters
- Have at least 1 letter (a, b, c …)
- Have at least 1 digit (1, 2, 3 …)
- Include uppercase and lowercase letters
- Cannot contain only one character (ie “111111” or “aaaaaa”)
- Cannot contain consecutive characters (ie “123456” or “abcdef”)
